Dr Tan Ene Choo

Background
Dr Tan Ene Choo obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and English
from Texas Tech University and her Master of Science in Molecular Biology
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While at the Institute of Molecular
and Cell Biology, she worked on the characterization of novel brain-expressed
chromosome 21 sequences for her PhD. She taught at the National Institute of
Education, Nanyang Technological University for a few years before returning
to full time research on asthma and psychiatric genetics in IMCB. From
1999-2005 she was with the Genetics Programme at the Defence Medical
Research Institute. She recently moved on to KK Women's and Children's
Hospital where her main research interest is the identification of sequence
variants involved in genetic disorders and complex traits.

Marie Loh
Job Title: Research Associate
BII (Bioinformatics Institute)
Background
Marie Loh obtained her Bachelor of Science in Statistics
and Applied Probability in 2002 and her Master of Science
in Bioinformatics in 2004 from National University of Singapore
(NUS). She joined BII and her main research interest is
in clinical/medical statistics and population genetics.
